SUNDANCE
FILM FESTIVAL

The Sundance Film Festival, held annually in Park City, is the largest independent film festival in the U.S. It supports bold, original storytelling and creates space for filmmakers and audiences to connect and share ideas.

For my concept, I focused on opportunity, creativity, and collaboration. I used bees as the main visual because they represent hard work, focus, teamwork, and shared success—similar to how a festival depends on many people working together. To connect the design to Utah, I included the Sego Lily, the state flower, symbolizing growth and community.

I explored both vibrant and soft color palettes but chose a softer one to create a calm, welcoming, and elegant tone that fits the natural bee and flower theme. I used clean shapes, balanced composition, clear typography, and strong scale to guide the viewer’s eye and highlight important information. Designed in Adobe Illustrator, the final piece is simple yet meaningful, visually engaging, and reflective of Sundance’s creative energy.
