I designed a chapbook based on The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe, drawn to its themes of mystery, darkness, and the haunting repetition of “Nevermore.” Using Adobe InDesign, I developed master pages and a cohesive system of paragraph, character, and object styles, experimenting with hierarchy, typography, and layout.

A purple spot color was chosen to reflect emotions like sadness and loss. My goal was to create a visually compelling piece that captures the poem’s mood and connects with readers, with particular focus on crafting an engaging cover as the book’s first impression.

I designed a book cover for The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka, inspired by its themes of transformation, isolation, and identity. Using Adobe Illustrator, I created a clean yet striking composition featuring a cockroach to symbolize Gregor’s unsettling change.

I kept the design minimal to emphasize the emotional weight of the story, focusing on composition, contrast, and visual impact. My goal was to create a cover that captures the dark, introspective tone of the novel while drawing the viewer in through a bold and memorable first impression.
